Barcelona prioritize Dani Olmo over Nico Williams

Barcelona appears poised to sign Dani Olmo, opting to pass on the opportunity to attract Nico Williams, despite the Athletic Bilbao winger being their top target for much of the transfer window. The Catalan giants have reached an agreement with Olmo on a contract running until June 2030 and have submitted a new official bid to RB Leipzig.

The details of the new proposal sent to RB Leipzig include: €55 million guaranteed, €4 million in easy add-ons, and €3 million in difficult add-ons.
Dani Olmo, a product of Barcelona’s famed youth academy La Masia, left the club in 2014 to join Dinamo Zagreb in search of first-team opportunities. He has already agreed to a six-year deal with Barcelona and is eager to return to his roots. His agents are now preparing to discuss the proposal with RB Leipzig to understand how to advance the deal.

Throughout this transfer window, Barcelona has been actively pursuing several key targets to strengthen their squad. Initially, Nico Williams was a primary target, but the focus has now shifted to securing Olmo. Meanwhile, the Catalan giants are not planning to spend anything to keep Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo on loan deals.
