Manuel Ugarte set for Manchester United medical tests, Scott McTominay heads to Napoli

Manchester United have secured the signing of Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain. The deal, which has been agreed upon since July, includes a €50 million fixed fee plus an additional €10 million in add-ons, bringing the total package to €60 million. Ugarte is traveling today to Manchester to complete the transfer, having been clear in his desire to join the Red Devils despite interest from other clubs.

Ugarte was the primary midfield target for Manchester United throughout the summer transfer window. The club remained focused on the Uruguayan, waiting patiantly and opting not to pursue other midfield options. United viewed Ugarte as a perfect addition to their squad, and his commitment to joining them has been a key factor in the completion of the deal.

In a related development, after securing Ugarte, the Red Devils are finalizing the outgoing transfer of Scott McTominay to Napoli. The clubs are close to completing a deal valued at €30 million, which includes a 10% sell-on clause. United are preparing to authorize McTominay’s travel to Italy once the final details are sorted.
