Liverpool remains the only team with 100% record in the Champions League, 4 other sides still unbeaten

After Aston Villa’s surprising defeat to Club Brugge last night in the Champions League, now Liverpool remains the only side with a 100% record in the tournament. Aston Villa, who had maintained a perfect streak until now, saw their run unexpectedly ended on Belgian soil.

With Liverpool standing alone in perfection, Sporting Lisbon, Monaco, Brest, and Inter are the only other teams that remain undefeated, albeit with draws on their record. Meanwhile, Shakhtar Donetsk achieved their first victory in the competition by overturning an early deficit against Young Boys in a match played in Gelsenkirchen. RB Salzburg also claimed their debut win in the tournament with a 3-1 away triumph over Feyenoord. Brest continued their remarkable Champions League run, earning a 2-1 win over Sparta Prague on the road.

In the night’s standout clash, Inter narrowly defeated Arsenal 1-0, with Hakan Calhanoglu converting a penalty just before the halftime break. Barcelona continued their high-scoring antics, thrashing Red Star Belgrade 5-2 away to further emphasize their attacking force.

Paris Saint-Germain suffered a home defeat as Atletico Madrid edged them 2-1 at the Parc des Princes. Despite facing tough resistance, Bayern Munich managed to scrape a 1-0 victory over Benfica, while Atalanta extended their impressive form by beating Stuttgart 2-0 in an away fixture.
