Cleveland joins elite 12-0 club, OKC returns to winning ways

Donovan Mitchell led the Cleveland Cavaliers to their 12th consecutive victory with a season-high 36 points, as the Cavs defeated the Chicago Bulls. Darius Garland added 17 points, while Evan Mobley recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. The Cavaliers’ bench made a significant impact, scoring in double figures and fueling a late-game rally. Cleveland’s defensive intensity was evident, forcing 20 turnovers from the Bulls and ultimately securing the win. For Chicago, Zach LaVine led with 26 points, and Coby White and Nicola Vucevic each contributed 20 points.

In other action, the San Antonio Spurs claimed a commanding 116-96 victory over the Sacramento Kings, with standout center Victor Wembanyama delivering a dominant performance. Wembanyama scored 34 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, dished out six assists, and recorded three blocks, highlighting his versatility and impact on both ends of the court.

The Oklahoma City Thunder edged the Los Angeles Clippers in a thrilling 134-128 matchup, led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s historic performance. Gilgeous-Alexander scored a career-high 45 points, handed out nine assists, secured five steals, and blocked two shots, becoming the first player in NBA history to achieve these numbers in a single game.

The Brooklyn Nets secured a narrow 107-105 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. Ben Simmons led the Nets with a season-high 12 assists, facilitating a balanced offensive attack that saw seven players score in double figures. Cam Thomas contributed 17 points, including a crucial late 3-pointer, while Cameron Johnson and Noah Clowney each added 15 points. Dennis Schroder chipped in 14 points, with Nic Claxton, Zlaire Williams, and Jalen Wilson also making key contributions.
