Franz Wagner and the Magic sink the Lakers, Raptors edge Timberwolves

The Orlando Magic secured a dramatic 119-118 comeback win against the Los Angeles Lakers, led by Franz Wagner’s career-high 37 points. Wagner scored 15 points in the fourth quarter, including the decisive 3-pointer with 2.5 seconds left. Jalen Suggs contributed 23 points, while Goga Bitadze grabbed 15 rebounds for the Magic, who have now won seven of their last eight games. The Lakers’ six-game winning streak came to an end with the loss. Their top performer was Anthony Davis, who ended the night with 39 points and nine rebounds but missed key free throws in the game’s closing moments. LeBron James added 31 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists, while rookie Dalton Knecht came off the bench to score 17 points.

The Toronto Raptors claimed a hard-fought 110-105 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Despite the Timberwolves’ strong effort, the Raptors pulled away in the fourth quarter to seal the win. RJ Barrett impressed for the Raptors with 31 points, including 12 in the final quarter. Chris Boucher scored 22 points off the bench, while Scottie Barnes recorded 17 points and six assists. Jakob Poeltl posted a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 26 points, while Julius Randle contributed 23 points and nine rebounds. Jaden McDaniels added 22 points, and Rudy Gobert registered 13 points and 11 rebounds.
