Chelsea Triumphs Over Leicester with 2-1 Win

Chelsea’s impressive away form continued as they secured a 2-1 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. The Blues’ victory was thanks to goals from Nicolas Jackson and Enzo Fernández, who both showcased their skills in the Premier League clash.

Jackson’s seventh goal of the season was a highlight of the match, as he expertly placed the ball past Mads Hermansen on the volley in the first half. The Senegalese forward has now scored 24 goals for Chelsea in 57 games across all competitions since the start of last season, making him one of the top scorers for the club.

Fernández doubled Chelsea’s lead in the 75th minute with a well-taken goal, his first for the club since February. The Argentine midfielder’s header sealed the win for the Blues, and marked the first time he’d both scored and assisted in a competitive match for Chelsea.

Leicester’s consolation goal came deep into injury time, as substitute Jordan Ayew scored from the penalty spot. However, the Foxes’ only shot on target in the entire match was a testament to Chelsea’s strong defense.

The win marked Chelsea’s 13th point away from home this season, surpassing their nine points earned at Stamford Bridge. The Blues’ impressive away form has been a key factor in their strong start to the 2024-25 season, and they will look to continue this momentum in their upcoming matches.
