Bucks secure 5th straight victory behind Lillard’s heroics, Suns snap losing streak with huge win over the Lakers

The Milwaukee Bucks extended their winning streak to five games with a narrow 106-103 victory over the Miami Heat. Damian Lillard led the charge for Milwaukee with 37 points and 12 assists, stepping up in the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo, who missed the game due to swelling in his left knee. Jimmy Butler paced the Heat with 23 points, while Tyler Herro contributed 18 points and Terry Rozier added 17 in his return from a two-game absence. The win ensured Milwaukee a spot in the quarter-finals of the NBA Cup, while Miami fell to 1-2 in group play.

In the Western Conference, the Phoenix Suns snapped their five-game losing streak with a commanding 127-100 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. Devin Booker was the Suns’ top scorer with 26 points and 10 assists, while Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal each added 23 points in their returns from calf injuries. Anthony Davis had a strong showing for the Lakers with 25 points, 15 rebounds, and four blocks, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Suns’ dominant performance. LeBron James contributed 18 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds for the Lakers, who suffered their third consecutive loss.
