Saudi club Al Hilal have opened initial talks over the signing of striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli, according to journalist Nicolo Schira. The player is currently on loan at Galatasaray after falling out with the Napoli management last summer, which led to his loan move to the Istanbul giants, with Antonio Conte excluding him from his plans. His contract with Napoli runs until the end of June next year, but the Nigerian has a release clause allowing him to leave the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium for €75 million.

Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille in 2020, when he was brought in by Cristiano Giuntoli, now Juventus’ sporting director. Giuntoli has reportedly identified the Nigerian striker along with Sandro Tonali as Juventus’ two main transfer targets for the upcoming transfer window.

This season, Osimhen has played 36 matches for Galatasaray, scoring 31 goals and providing seven assists across all competitions. He has been linked with Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Juventus, but various reports suggest the striker’s high wage demands are currently beyond what Europe’s top clubs are willing to meet.
