PSG defeated Arsenal 2-1 at Parc des Princes to qualify for the Champions League final. The French champions secured their spot in the final with a 3-1 aggregate victory over the English team. Fabian Ruiz opened the scoring in the 27th minute, while Achraf Hakimi doubled the lead in the 72nd minute. Shortly before that, Vitinha missed a penalty. In the 76th minute, Bukayo Saka scored Arsenal’s only goal.

Arsenal had the first clear chance. Jurrien Timber delivered a sharp cross into the penalty area, where Declan Rice outjumped Marquinhos and headed just wide. In the 4th minute, Thomas Partey launched a long throw into the box. Martinelli managed a close-range effort, but Gianluigi Donnarumma saved.

Four minutes later, Partey delivered another long throw into the box. Joao Neves cleared, but the ball fell to Martin Odegaard, whose powerful low shot was tipped for a corner by Donnarumma. The Italian keeper suffered an injury during this play, requiring medical attention.

Arsenal were saved by the post in the 17th minute. In their first real attack, PSG nearly took the lead when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia cut inside from the left and unleashed a powerful shot that struck the far post. Six minutes later, the Parisians launched a brilliant counter-attack after William Saliba’s mistake. Kvaratskhelia surged forward and set up Desire Doue, who fired a shot but did not trouble David Raya.

PSG opened the scoring in the 27th minute. Thomas Partey cleared a free-kick cross with his head, but the ball fell to Fabian Ruiz. The midfielder created space and unleashed a powerful strike into the bottom left corner from around 17 metres for 1-0.

Three minutes later, PSG missed an excellent chance to extend their lead. William Pacho released Kvaratskhelia with a fine pass. The Georgian advanced and passed to Bradley Barcola, who got past a defender in the box, but just as he shot, Declan Rice intervened, and Raya made the save.

The first half ended without any other notable events, apart from a blocked shot for each team.

In the 54th minute, Nuno Mendes made a run down the left and set up Desire Doue, whose weak shot went wide. Shortly after, Bukayo Saka dribbled into the box and shot, but Nuno Mendes blocked it. From the resulting corner, Saka’s cross almost went in, but Donnarumma punched it clear.

In the 64th minute, Saka cut inside from the right and aimed for the far corner, but Donnarumma turned it away for a corner. On the counter-attack, Raya saved a shot from Achraf Hakimi. Shortly after, VAR intervened, and referee Felix Zwayer reviewed the situation involving Hakimi’s shot. It was determined that the ball struck the outstretched hand of Lewis-Skelly. Vitinha took the penalty but sent a weak shot to the bottom left corner, which Raya saved.

PSG doubled their lead in the 72nd minute. Kvaratskhelia broke down the left and passed to substitute Ousmane Dembele, who set up Hakimi. The Moroccan controlled the ball and fired it into the net for 2-0.

Four minutes later, Arsenal pulled one back. Leandro Trossard battled with Marquinhos on the right. The Belgian’s cross was not cleared by William Pacho, and the ball slipped between his legs to Bukayo Saka, who guided it into the net. The hosts protested for a foul on the Brazilian defender, but the referee waved it off.

In the 81st minute, Saka missed a chance to equalise. Donnarumma missed Trossard’s sharp cross from the left, but Saka volleyed it over the bar. In the closing minutes, Raya saved a shot from Dembele, and Hakimi’s attempt went wide.

PSG maintained their lead until the final whistle, securing their place in the final.
