On Monday, British media reported that Al-Hilal had given Fernandes a deadline until Thursday to respond to the club’s massive offer from Riyadh. The proposal is said to include a net salary of £700,000 per week. With bonuses, Bruno could receive a total of £200 million over three years if he accepts. If the answer from the Red Devils’ captain is positive, Al-Hilal will submit an official offer to Manchester United, which according to Daily Mail will be around £100 million. The Saudi club is moving quickly, as it wants to finalise the transfer before the start of the FIFA Club World Cup.
At the moment, the 30-year-old player is on tour in Asia with Manchester United, with the Red Devils set to play a friendly against Hong Kong today.
After the Red Devils final match of the season, the captain said: “If the club thinks it’s time to part ways because they want to make good money, that’s it. Football is like that sometimes. I’ve always said I’m here until the club tells me it’s time to leave.”
