    Key Takeaways:

  • Bruno Fernandes’ agent met with Al-Hilal over a potential £200M transfer
  • The Saudi club has offered £700,000 per week and awaits a decision by Thursday

  • If agreed, Al-Hilal will submit a £100M bid to Manchester United

Bruno Fernandes’ agent held a direct meeting last night with representatives of Al-Hilal regarding the possibility of a big-money transfer for the Manchester United captain. Miguel Pinho travelled to Saudi Arabia and spoke with Al-Hilal officials at a hotel in Riyadh. According to Daily Mail, the talks were productive.

On Monday, British media reported that Al-Hilal had given Fernandes a deadline until Thursday to respond to the club’s massive offer from Riyadh. The proposal is said to include a net salary of £700,000 per week. With bonuses, Bruno could receive a total of £200 million over three years if he accepts. If the answer from the Red Devils’ captain is positive, Al-Hilal will submit an official offer to Manchester United, which according to Daily Mail will be around £100 million. The Saudi club is moving quickly, as it wants to finalise the transfer before the start of the FIFA Club World Cup.

At the moment, the 30-year-old player is on tour in Asia with Manchester United, with the Red Devils set to play a friendly against Hong Kong today.

After the Red Devils final match of the season, the captain said: “If the club thinks it’s time to part ways because they want to make good money, that’s it. Football is like that sometimes. I’ve always said I’m here until the club tells me it’s time to leave.”
