- Liverpool are pushing to finalise a £45M move for Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth
- The Hungarian left-back is a top priority for new manager Arne Slot
- The deal could signal the end of Kostas Tsimikas’ time at Anfield
Key Takeaways:
Liverpool are trying to finalise a deal for Milos Kerkez, with Bournemouth demanding £45 million for the Hungarian international. The potential transfer could influence the future of Greek full-back Kostas Tsimikas.
Arne Slot has identified Kerkez as a key target to strengthen the left side of the defense, and Liverpool are increasingly optimistic about completing the deal for the 21-year-old.

Kerkez, who can operate as a left-back, is eager to join the Merseyside club. Liverpool’s position in the negotiations is further strengthened by the involvement of Richard Hughes, the club’s sporting director. Hughes previously served as technical director at Bournemouth and played a key role in bringing Kerkez from AZ Alkmaar in 2023. He is now leading the talks on Liverpool’s behalf.
The Reds have already signed one full-back this summer — Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen — and are looking to improve their options on the opposite flank. The arrival of Kerkez could lead to the departure of Kostas Tsimikas, who has mostly served as a backup to Andy Robertson over the past five years.
