German runners-up Bayer Leverkusen expect Florian Wirtz’ transfer to Liverpool to be completed next week. According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Germany international will undergo his medical with the Merseyside club in the coming days before signing his contract.

The deal between the two clubs is fully agreed, with the attacking midfielder currently on holiday after his duties with the German national team in the UEFA Nations League. Once he returns, the transfer will be formally completed.

As previously reported, the two clubs have reached an agreement on a package worth a total of €150 million including bonuses, which will become a record-breaking fee in British football. Wirtz had agreed personal terms with the Reds around two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Liverpool continue talks to sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth, according to Fabrizio Romano. The English champions are expected to pay €45 million for the Hungarian left-back.
