    Key Takeaways:

  • Alessandro Florenzi leaves Milan as a free agent after four seasons at San Siro
  • Milan also part ways with Joao Felix, Riccardo Sottil, Kyle Walker, Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic
  • Yacine Adli and Tommaso Pobega return from loans, while Davide Calabria’s future remains unclear

Milan officially announced the departure of Alessandro Florenzi. The right-back leaves the club as a free agent after the expiration of his contract. With that, the Rossoneri have now fully parted ways with all players expected to leave, having previously confirmed that Joao Felix, Riccardo Sottil, Kyle Walker, Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic will not stay, as none of their loan deals were turned into permanent transfers.

The 34-year-old Florenzi spent a total of four seasons at San Siro. In his first year, he was loaned from Roma, before Milan purchased his rights for a fee of around 3 million euro. Despite frequent injuries, the former Italian international made 77 official appearances, scored three goals and provided seven assists. He was part of the squad that won the Serie A title in the 2021/2022 season.

At the same time, the club confirmed that Yacine Adli and Tommaso Pobega are returning to Milan after their loan spells at Fiorentina and Bologna ended without buy options being triggered. Adli impressed with five goals and seven assists in 35 games for La Viola while Pobega registered four goals and three assists in 30 appearances for the Rossoblu.

The future of right-back Davide Calabria remains uncertain. Although his contract with Milan officially expires on Monday, the club already parted ways with him back in the winter. He was also loaned to Bologna but will not remain at the Renato Dall’Ara and must now look for a new challenge.
