Italian defender Matteo Ruggeri has also joined from Atalanta, and former loanees Clement Lenglet and Juan Musso are now officially part of the squad with permanent deals. If Inter Miami activate Rodrigo De Paul’s buyout clause, another €15 million will enter Atletico’s accounts by the end of 2025.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the German club has granted Millot permission to skip the friendly against Celta Vigo in order to finalise his transfer to Madrid. Atletico will pay his €20 million release clause. Last season, the 23-year-old Frenchman scored 12 goals across all competitions — twice as many as in any previous campaign.
Atletico Madrid will begin their pre-season with a match against Porto on 3 August, while their La Liga campaign starts with an away fixture against Espanyol on 17 August.
