Ligue 1 runners-up Marseille and Feyenoord have reached an agreement for the transfer of left winger Igor Paixao, reports Fabrizio Romano. According to the information, the 25-year-old Brazilian will sign a five-year contract, with the deal valued at around €32 million.

Paixao impressed during the past season with Feyenoord, scoring 18 goals and providing 19 assists in 47 matches across all competitions. The Brazilian had attracted interest from other major clubs such as Leeds and Roma, but Marseille showed the most determination and won the race for his signature. Over three years with the Rotterdam side, who signed him for €4.5 million from his boyhood club Coritiba, Paixao made 129 appearances, scoring 39 goals and delivering 29 assists.

The player’s transfer was also confirmed by his father, Jose, who posted a photo of his son in a Marseille shirt on social media. Paixao is expected to undergo medical tests in the coming days.
