The draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will take place in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, is scheduled for 5 December and will be held at the Sphere arena in Las Vegas, organisers have announced. The venue has a capacity of 17,500 spectators and is considered one of the most modern in the world. The spherical structure stands 112 metres tall and 157 metres wide, with nearly the entire interior covered by a massive LED screen.

Las Vegas will not host any matches during the tournament but was selected for the draw due to its strong tourism potential.

The World Cup will take place between 11 June and 19 July, with 13 teams already having qualified. In addition to the three host nations, the list includes Australia, Iran, Japan, Jordan, South Korea, Uzbekistan, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, and New Zealand.

This edition will mark the first World Cup to feature a 48-team format, divided into 12 groups of 4 teams. The top two teams from each group, along with the best eight third-placed teams, will advance to the knockout stage, which will begin with the round of 32.
