    Key Takeaways:

  • Wolves and Silva to hold talks this week to clarify future
  • BVB also pushing for Buonanotte and Chukwuemeka deals

Borussia Dortmund are determined to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Fabio Silva, who is also on the radar of Serie A giants Roma.

According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Borussia Dortmund have already offered the Portuguese forward a five-year contract. Talks between Silva and Wolves are expected to take place this week, which will determine whether he will move to the Bundesliga this summer.

BVB’s interest in the 22-year-old has intensified suddenly, despite the club already having backup options behind starting striker Serhou Guirassy, including Sebastien Haller and Maximilian Beier. At the same time, the German side are prioritising moves for Brighton’s Facundo Buonanotte and Chelsea’s Carney Chukwuemeka. Decisions on both transfers are expected soon, amid ongoing speculation about a potential return for Jadon Sancho.

Although Silva’s contract with Wolves expires in a year, his asking price is reportedly set at €20 million.

Borussia Dortmund are actively looking to strengthen their squad ahead of a Bundesliga title push this season. Their first official match of the 2025/26 campaign is scheduled for 18 August against third-division side Essen in the first round of the DFB-Pokal.
