Palace Complete Post-Deadline Business

Crystal Palace have strengthened their squad with the permanent arrivals of experienced internationals Ben Chilwell and Quinten Timber, while also adding Chile winger Dario Osorio on a season-long loan from FC Midtjylland.

The deals for Chilwell and Timber were finalised after Tuesday’s 23:00 BST transfer deadline, with Palace able to complete both moves by submitting deal sheets to the Premier League.

Chilwell has returned to Selhurst Park from RC Strasbourg, having spent the second half of the 2024-25 campaign on loan with the Eagles. The England defender, who won the FA Cup with Palace in May 2025, has been capped 21 times by his country and has previously represented Chelsea, Leicester City and Huddersfield Town.

“It’s amazing to be back,” said Chilwell, who won the FA Cup with Palace in May 2025.

“It’s nice to see some familiar faces, and I’m just really excited to get back in, see the boys and the fans, and get going again.”

Chilwell spent last season with Strasbourg after joining the Ligue 1 side from Chelsea in September 2025.

Timber Adds International Pedigree To Palace Midfield

Crystal Palace and Marseille have both confirmed the transfer of Netherlands international midfielder Quinten Timber. The 25-year-old, who is the twin brother of Arsenal defender Jurriën Timber, has signed a five-year deal with the Eagles.

Palace have struck a reported €20m agreement with OM. Marseille, also known as Les Phocéens, were in dire need of freeing up funds through player sales and went the entire summer transfer window without making a single signing.

Timber joined OM from Feyenoord for €4.5m last winter and made 17 appearances in the white and blue after his arrival.

The midfielder has been capped 13 times by the Netherlands. He was part of Ronald Koeman’s 2026 World Cup squad, was part of their squad for this summer’s World Cup, and featured twice for his national side in America this summer.

“With vast experience of representing his club and country at the highest level, Quinten is a player whose leadership, tenacity and ability we are confident will flourish in the Premier League“, said Palace chairman Steve Parish.

Timber could make his Premier League debut this weekend against Fulham FC.

Squad Context

For Crystal Palace, the completed business adds experience and depth to a squad identified as the Conference League winners. Chilwell brings Premier League and international experience, while Timber arrives with recent experience in Ligue 1, international football with the Netherlands, and a long-term contract that runs for five years.
