Tottenham secured a 2-0 away victory over Bodo/Glimt and advanced to the Europa League final with a 5-1 aggregate win. The London side will face Manchester United in an all-English final on 21 May in Bilbao. The Spurs played an excellent match, giving their opponents no real chances and effectively neutralising any attacking threat from the Norwegian side.

The hosts tried to start at a high tempo, but the first dangerous attack was aimed at their own goal. Richarlison received the ball inside the penalty area, but his shot was deflected. Bodo had the initiative and created their first good opportunity in the eighth minute when Blomberg was left unmarked at the far post after a corner. He controlled the ball but shot wide.

Tottenham did not allow their opponents to apply pressure, instead focusing on scoring a goal to further increase their aggregate lead. In the 15th minute, Richarlison released Udogie down the wing, and his cross reached a dangerous area, but no teammate could get on the end of it. The hosts’ attempts to attack were consistently halted by the Spurs’ defence. The visitors earned a free kick in a good position just outside the penalty area. Porro took a precise shot, but the home goalkeeper Haikin made an excellent save.

The first half ended goalless, and Bodo/Glimt tried to change something at the start of the second half, creating a good chance in the 51st minute. A brilliant cross from Hauge did not find a teammate, and Udogie cleared the ball before it caused chaos in the penalty area.

Tottenham took the lead in the 63rd minute. Following a corner, Romero flicked the ball with his head, and Solanke drove it into the net. The goal extended the Londoners’ aggregate lead to three goals, providing them with even greater confidence.

Six minutes later, Bodo’s faint hopes were extinguished. Udogie advanced with the ball, which passed through several players before reaching Porro on the right wing. The defender attempted a cross that turned into a magnificent shot, striking the post and going in.

In added time, the referee awarded a penalty to the hosts following a challenge by Porro. However, after a VAR review, it was determined that there was no foul, and the penalty was overturned.
