    Key Takeaways:

  • PSG and Bournemouth have resumed talks for Illya Zabarnyi after failing to agree a deal earlier this summer
  • Bournemouth want close to €70M, while PSG are currently offering no more than €50M
  • Bournemouth have reached a full agreement with Liverpool for the transfer of Milos Kerkez

European champions Paris Saint-Germain and English side Bournemouth have resumed negotiations for defender Illya Zabarnyi. The two clubs were in intense talks prior to the start of the FIFA Club World Cup but failed to reach an agreement before the window closed.

Talks were immediately re-opened once the Premier League transfer window opened again on June 16th, according to English media. At the moment, the two clubs are still far apart in the financial parameters of the deal, but sources familiar with the situation believe they will eventually reach an agreement.

The Cherries are asking close to €70M for their star, while PSG are not willing to pay more than €50M at this stage. However, reports from France claim the Parisians are expected to raise their offer, as Zabarnyi is one of Luis Enrique’s most wanted players.

At the same time, Bournemouth are on the verge of finalising another outgoing transfer. The club has reached a full agreement with Liverpool for the transfer of Hungarian international Milos Kerkez. All terms of the deal have been agreed, with only the final formalities remaining before the transfer of the full-back is completed.

According to reports, Kerkez is set to undergo medical tests in the coming days, and his move to Anfield is expected to be officially confirmed next week.
