    Key Takeaways:

  • Liverpool have agreed a £69m fee for Hugo Ekitike
  • The 23-year-old striker will undergo medical tests on Tuesday
  • Contract runs for six seasons, with potential add-ons raising the deal to £79m

Liverpool have reached a full agreement to sign striker Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt. The Reds will pay a fee of £69 million for the French centre-forward, with the total potentially increasing by a further £10 million depending on the fulfilment of specific conditions.

Ekitike is scheduled to arrive in Liverpool on Tuesday in order to complete the mandatory medical examinations. Once those are finalised and the deal is made official, the forward will travel to Hong Kong to join his new team, which is currently holding pre-season training in Asia.

The Frenchman’s contract with Liverpool will run for six seasons. Last month, Newcastle made an effort to sign the 23-year-old attacker by offering £70 million, but their bid was turned down. Ekitike recorded 15 goals in 31 Bundesliga matches for Eintracht Frankfurt last season.
