  • Milan are finalising a move for Diego Moreira from RC Strasbourg in a package expected to be worth around €45m-50m including add-ons and a sell-on percentage
  • David Odogu is reportedly set to join Toulouse FC on loan, with AC Milan expected to cover the 20-year-old defender’s wages
  • Moreira’s possible arrival would add depth on the flanks and raise further questions about Rafael Leao’s future at Milan

Milan Move Quickly as Moreira Deal Advances

AC Milan are closing in on Diego Moreira, with the club are now working through the final details of a deal with RC Strasbourg. The proposed agreement is expected to be worth in the region of €45m-50m, including add-ons and a percentage of any future sale.

The 22-year-old Belgium international had been discussed as a possible target for Roma earlier in the summer, but the financial demands were considered too high. Roma’s offer was reported as €35m plus €10m in bonuses, alongside a 10 per cent cut of a future transfer.

RB Leipzig then also made a strong push for the winger but were unable to reach an agreement. Milan have since stepped in, with agent Jorge Mendes involved in the operation.

Moreira Profile and Career Context

Moreira is primarily used as a left-sided winger, though he is also capable of playing on the right when required. Chelsea sold him to RC Strasbourg for €8.5m in the summer of 2024 and retain a buy-back clause, although they do not appear keen to activate it.

At international level, Moreira has four senior caps for Belgium, having previously represented Portugal at youth level. He also celebrated his 22nd birthday earlier this month.

In the previous campaign, he produced five goals and nine assists across 42 competitive appearances for Strasbourg. Milan’s pursuit of Moreira is expected to increase scrutiny around the future of Rafael Leao.

Odogu Set for Toulouse Loan

Alongside the Moreira negotiations, AC Milan’s David Odogu is reportedly set to move to Toulouse FC. The 20-year-old is expected to leave the Rossoneri on loan, with Milan covering his wages.

Odogu came through the youth system at VfL Wolfsburg before moving to Lombardy last summer for €7m. At the time of that transfer, the Berlin-born player had made just three professional appearances for Wolfsburg.

Although he was regularly included in Milan’s squad last season, Odogu played only 16 minutes across three matches for the Italian club. He is described as a player with significant potential.

Toulouse Role and RedBird Link

Odogu is also described as a right-back expected to compete directly with Rasmus Nicolaisen (29) at Toulouse. Nicolaisen, the club’s captain, extended his contract last May and started 33 of the 35 matches he played during the 2025-26 season.

The proposed loan has additional significance because it would be the first move involving AC Milan and Toulouse FC, two clubs both owned by RedBird.
