Bayer Leverkusen, under Xabi Alonso’s leadership, is having a remarkable season that has captivated Europe. Leading the Bundesliga after 14 games, they stand as the only unbeaten team in the top five leagues, securing 11 wins and three draws.

Extending their unbeaten streak, Leverkusen recently fought to secure a comfortable 3:0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt, solidifying their position as the sole undefeated team in Europe’s top five leagues. Holding the Bundesliga’s top spot since the 6th round, Xabi Alonso’s team has showcased dominance, leading in 11 out of 14 matchdays this season.

Even more impressive is the fact that Leverkusen set a new Bundesliga record by scoring at least two goals in their first 12 matches. Five Leverkusen players boast at least five goals and four have registered five or more assists, showcasing the depth in Bayer’s squad.

Victor Boniface leads the team’s scoring charts with eight goals and remarkable shooting statistics. Bayer’s unbeaten run extends to 23 competitive matches in all competitions in 2023/24, making them the only team undefeated in Europe’s top five leagues.

In addition to their historical Bundesliga achievements, Bayer Leverkusen has broken records with 42 goals in the first 15 matches and 823 average touches per game.
