Europe’s top 5 leagues: Only 2 teams have conceded less than 10 goals so far

Inter crashed out of the Italian Cup on Wednesday, losing at home to Bologna, but the Nerazzurri are enjoying a healthy 4 point lead at the top of the standings in Serie A. They are the team with least conceded goals across the Premier League, LaLiga, Ligue 1, Serie A and the Bundesliga, having allowed just 7 goals in their net in 16 league matches. The only other team within these championships which is yet to concede 10 goals is Nice in France.

While Inter is at the top in Italy, Nice currently occupies 2nd place in Ligue 1, trailing PSG by 5 points. Impressively, Inter has kept 11 clean sheets in 16 matches, and Nice has achieved the same number in 17 games. Do you wonder what else the two teams have in common besides their great defensive records? It is their Italian connection in the dugout. Simone Inzaghi guides the Nerazzurri, while Francesco Farioli commands Nice. The former is a finalist of The Best FIFA Football Awards 2023, having led Inter to the Champions League final last season. On the other hand, Farioli is enjoying a remarkable debut season in France, as he joined Nice in the summer, but is already exceeding expectations and is making the fans dream.
