Aston Villa’s manager Unai Emery and Bournemouth’s forward Dominic Solanke were the recepients of Premier League’s awards for December’s manager and player of the month. The Spanish coach receives the prize for 2nd time in his career, having won it previously in April of 2023. In the last month of 2023, Aston Villa defeated Manchester City and Arsenal and are currently occupying 2nd position in the standings.

In the meantime, Solanke became the first Bournemouth player in history to win the award. The 26 year old attacker scored 6 goals in 6 games during December, with his most memorable match coming against Newcastle, which he finished with a hat-trick.
