Despite being under financial restrictions imposed by England’s Football Assosiation, Nottingham Forest do not look like they are about to stop with their transfer deals. The Premier League club has entered negotiations with Borussia Dortmund for the services of the US international Giovanni Reyna. The 21 year old American, has lost his place in Edin Terzic’s squad in the 2023/24 season and has featured for BVB just 13 times in all tournaments. Reyna has been named in the starting line-up only twice and on 11 occasions has entered from the bench.

Gio Reyna has never played for another team besides Borussia Dortmund during his career up until now. His debut for the senior team came on 18th of January, 2020, when Reyna entered as a substitute against Augsburg in a Bundesliga game. Since then he has recorded a total of 120 matches for the club, scoring 25 goals and providing 25 assists.
