Mason Mount returns to training. The midfielder is expected to play after the international break

Manchester United’s 25-year-old attacking midfielder Mason Mount has already returned to training and will be available for selection after the international break. The former Chelsea player suffered an injury during the Premier League clash between Manchester United and Luton Town on November 11, 2023.

A product of Chelsea’s youth academy, Mount was acquired by the Red Devils last summer in a deal worth €64.2 million. However, his time with United has not gone as planned, with the creative midfielder participating in only 12 matches across all competitions during the current campaign and registering just one assist. Mount’s chances of representing England at the upcoming Euro 2024 in Germany appear slim. First, he must prove himself to Erik ten Hag and secure a regular spot in Manchester United’s midfield before he can dream of making the Three Lions’ squad for Euro 2024. In his international career so far, Mount has 36 caps and has scored 5 goals for his country.
