Ancelotti jumps in defence of Bellignham’s goal draught

Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid has come out to publicly back Jude Bellingham, in light of the Englishman’s recent goal draught. He assured, “Jude Bellingham will be back to scoring goals, but it’s not true that he dropped his performance level. He’s just scoring less than before but is still doing an excellent job.” The English midfielder has not scored in his last four appearances for Real and has a total of 3 goals in 12 games on club level in 2024.

In the press-conference ahead of Los Blancos’ LaLiga visit to Mallorca on Saturday, Ancelotti also shared his satisfaction with life in Madrid, praising the city, its people, and Real Madrid. On team tactics, he mentioned considering Rodrygo on the left as a possibility, with both Rodrygo and Vinicius agreeing to the change for the game against Manchester City. “Vini Jr. is very humble because he understood that he could be good and help the team, so he changed positions with Rodrygo,” Ancelotti added.

He confirmed Rodrygo’s availability despite a recent knock and discussed Tchouaméni’s role, suggesting he might continue at center-back while emphasizing his natural position as a pivot. Regarding the team’s lineup, Ancelotti stated, “They are all available and tomorrow I will put the best team on. Militão is also available.”
