England impresses in friendly win, Germany fails to convince

England defeated Bosnia & Herzegovina 3:0 in a friendly encounter before Euro 2024. Cole Palmer scored his first international goal from the spot on 60 minutes and Trend Alexander Arnold and Harry Kane added another 2 late in the game. The Three Lions’ manager gave Palmer and Eberechi Eze their first starts in England shirts, while Adam Wharton and Jarrad Branthwaite recorded their first minutes for the national side, after being introduced from the bench in the 2nd half. Harry Kane’s goal was his 63rd for England, eclipsing Ronaldo’s 62 goal achievement for Brazil.

In another friendly match played last night, Germany and Ukraine finished in a boring goalless draw. The host nation of Euro 24 dominated the onfield proceedings, and ended the game with 26 attempts on goal, but was unable to penetrate Ukraine’s defence. Maximilian Beier and Aleksandar Palvovic made their senior debuts for Germany but were unable to influence the outcome of the match.
