Bayern Munich work on signing defensive reinforcements

Bayern Munich are busy in the transfer market as they look to bolster their squad for the upcoming season. The Bavarian giants have identified Jonathan Tah and Joao Palhinha as priority targets and are actively working on securing their signatures.

Jonathan Tah remains Bayern Munich’s top choice for a new center-back this summer. The Bayern hierarchy sees Tah as the perfect addition to their defensive line. In the event that he leaves Bayer Leverkusen, Tah has expressed a preference for joining Bayern over any Premier League club. Talks between the two clubs are expected to begin soon, as Bayern are keen to secure the talented defender.

The club is also pursuing Fulham’s Joao Palhinha. Bayern have already reached an agreement on personal terms with the Portuguese midfielder, with the contract and salary terms agreed upon. Palhinha is eager to join Bayern, after a failed move during the winter trasnsfer window, and the club is confident despite interest from other European teams.

Discussions with Fulham are ongoing to finalize the transfer fee, which is expected to be around €45 million. Although the Premier League side initially rejected Bayern’s proposal, the German club remain optimistic about reaching an agreement.
