Real Madrid heroes Nacho and Joselu depart Santiago Bernabeu for clubs in the Middle East

Real Madrid is set to bid farewell to two of its homegrown players, Joselu and Nacho, as they will begin new chapters in their careers in the Middle East.

Despite Carlo Ancelotti’s desire to keep the striker at the club, Joselu is poised to join Qatari side Al Gharafa. The deal is in its final stages, with only a few details left to be clarified. During his season with Real Madrid, Joselu made a significant impact, recording 17 goals and 3 assists in 49 games, including a memorable brace against Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-finals.

Nacho, another loyal servant and one of Real Madrid’s captains, is set to join Al Qadsiah in Saudi Arabia. Having already completed his medical, Nacho will sign a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2026. After 23 years at Real Madrid, Nacho opted not to consider any offers from Europe, showing his deep respect and loyalty to the club.

Both players, products of Real Madrid’s esteemed youth system, will continue their careers in the Middle Eastern leagues. Their departures come after a season of triumph, with the club winning the titles in Spain and in the Champions League.
