Brunson and KAT shine with 30-point double-doubles in Knicks victory, Cavaliers return to winning ways

The New York Knicks secured their fourth consecutive win with a 128-115 road victory over the Phoenix Suns. Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 36 points, 10 assists, and seven 3-pointers, while Karl-Anthony Towns also registered a double-double of 34 points and 10 rebounds. Despite Devin Booker’s 33 points, the Suns suffered their fifth straight loss as they continue to play without injured stars Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal.

At the same time, the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 109-99, marking their 14th consecutive victory against that opponent since January 2022. Jalen Williams led the Thunder with 30 points, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 28 points. Shaedon Sharpe was the leading scorer for the Trail Blazers with 21 points, but Portland was without key figures Deandre Ayton and Anfernee Simons.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers rebounded from their first loss of the season with a commanding 128-100 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. Ty Jerome scored a career-high 29 points, including seven 3-pointers, to lead the Cavaliers. Georges Niang contributed 20 points, while Jarrett Allen and rookie Jaylon Tyson each recorded double-doubles with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Rookie Antonio Reeves was the bright spot for the Pelicans, scoring a season-high 34 points.
