The 44-year-old former defensive midfielder has previously worked as an assistant at MK Dons, Sheffield United, and the Republic of Ireland national team, but has never managed a team as head coach. He is set to sign a three-year contract, which will be officially announced by the club very soon.
As is known, Thomas Frank left Brentford after seven years at the club to take over at Tottenham.
Brentford spoke with several high-profile managers but ultimately decided that Andrews could provide continuity by following in Frank’s footsteps.
