    Key Takeaways:

  • Juventus continue talks with PSG for a permanent deal for Kolo Muani
  • The club contact Liverpool regarding Darwin Nunez as an alternative
  • Napoli drop interest in Nunez due to Liverpool’s €50M asking price

Juventus continue negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain for Randal Kolo Muani, but have also made an enquiry to Liverpool regarding Darwin Nunez. The Uruguayan is close to leaving the Merseyside club, with Napoli previously considered the frontrunner for his signature.

Juventus took Kolo Muani on loan for the final six months of last season and are now trying to agree a permanent transfer with PSG or a new loan deal with a purchase option for next summer. The player himself is also open to staying in Turin, knowing he has no place in Luis Enrique’s plans.

Although Kolo Muani remains the priority, Juventus are exploring other attacking options. Italian media report that contact was made with Liverpool yesterday over a possible move for Darwin Nunez.

Napoli withdrew from talks with the Reds due to the €50 million asking price and instead signed Lorenzo Lucca from Udinese. Juve may now take advantage of the situation and secure Nunez, who turned 26 last month.

The Uruguayan joined the Premier League from Benfica for €85 million in the summer of 2022. He scored 7 goals and provided 7 assists in 47 official appearances for Liverpool last season.

Despite receiving an attractive offer from Al Hilal, the striker prefers to remain in European football.
