The personal terms of the 24-year-old have also been agreed, and he will sign a five-year contract. Gutierrez is expected to travel to Italy next week for the mandatory medical examinations.
Gutierrez spent the last three years at Girona, where he made 112 appearances, scoring 6 goals and providing 19 assists. With his strong performances, especially during the 2022/23 season, he earned appearances for the Spanish national team in 2024 and was previously linked with a return to Real Madrid, as well as a move to Milan.
Meanwhile, it has become clear that Napoli’s improved offer of €17 million for Juanlu Sanchez has been rejected by Sevilla. The Andalusian club are asking for €20 million plus 20% of any future sale. A deal under these conditions will not take place, as Napoli do not agree with the clause for a percentage from a future transfer, especially one that high.
Juanlu will turn 22 later this month and recently signed a new contract with Sevilla, which is valid until June 2029. The right-back is a product of Sevilla’s academy and has already made 59 La Liga appearances for the team from Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
