Wolverhampton have officially announced the signing of Fluminense winger Jhon Arias. The 27-year-old Colombia international, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, arrives for a fee of around £18 million and has already signed a four-year contract with an option for one more.

Arias is expected to replace Matheus Cunha, who left for Manchester United, and will wear the number 10 shirt for his new team.

The Colombian was one of the best players at the recent FIFA Club World Cup in the USA. He played six full matches for semi-finalists Fluminense and recorded a goal and an assist in the tournament. The player received the Man of the Match award three times, including in the games against Borussia Dortmund and Inter, and was even named in the Team of the Tournament.

Over five seasons with the Brazilian team, Arias made 230 appearances, scored 47 goals, and registered 55 assists, becoming a key player for Fluminense. Arias also has 29 appearances and 3 goals for the Colombia national team.
