  • He scored 83 goals in 323 appearances for the Hammers
  • Antonio was key in West Ham’s 2023 Conference League triumph

West Ham have confirmed the departure of striker Michail Antonio, whose contract expired at the end of the season. The 35-year-old forward made a total of 323 appearances and scored 83 goals for the Hammers, becoming the club’s all-time top scorer in the Premier League. Antonio spent ten years with the London side following his transfer from Nottingham Forest in 2015. He missed much of the final season due to very serious injuries sustained in a car crash.

Antonio returned to the pitch in June, when he came off the bench for Jamaica in the Gold Cup match against Guatemala. The striker was also instrumental in ending West Ham’s 43-year trophy drought, playing a decisive role in the club’s UEFA Europa Conference League triumph in 2023, when they defeated Fiorentina in the final in Prague. Michail Antonio also scored the last-ever goal at the club’s historic ground, the Boleyn Ground, in West Ham’s final match there – a win over Manchester United in 2016.
